VEX Robotics Educator (Competition Trainer)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced VEX Robotics Educator in Iraq-Erbil to train and mentor students (K-12) for VEX Robotics Competitions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of VEX Robotics platforms and a proven track record of helping students succeed in robotics competitions. You will focus on preparing students to design, build, and program their robots, as well as developing strategies to excel in competitions.
Responsibilities
- Train students (K-12) on VEX Robotics platforms (VEX IQ, VEX V5).
- Prepare students to design, build, and program robots for VEX Robotics Competitions.
- Mentor and guide student teams on competition strategies and problem-solving techniques.
- Deliver hands-on robotics training sessions and develop engaging lesson plans.
- Help students understand and apply competition rules and scoring strategies.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Engineering, Robotics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with VEX Robotics (VEX IQ, VEX V5).
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students in STEM education.
- Strong robot design and programming skills (e.g., VEXcode, RobotC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and coaching abilities.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Prior experience training students for VEX Robotics Competitions.
- Previous competition participation as a coach, mentor, or competitor.
- Experience with other robotics platforms or educational tools.
- Additional languages.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
